Starting a new service can be both exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. Our group intake process has been created to ensure we are able to put together peers with similar skills, goals, and interests. We hope you find this information helpful.
If you are an existing client or have worked with us in the past, portions of the intake process may not be applicable. Simply reach out to discuss next steps.

Complete an Intake Form
Complete an intake form if you are a new client. Upon receipt and review of the completed intake form, we will follow up with you to share an update regarding available group options. At this time, we are also happy to schedule a time to meet over the phone to answer any questions you may have about our group services or ABA therapy.
Schedule and Complete a Phone Meeting
When we are ready to process your intake, we will follow up with you to schedule a time to chat over the phone to discuss individualized goals in more detail, possible group options, and review next steps. If you decide that you would like to go ahead and register for a group, some paperwork will be shared with you and so we can begin the registration process. This will include a registration form and medical alert form (if applicable). A comprehensive service estimate will also be provided.
Complete Required Paperwork
The required paperwork can be completed independently or with one of our team members. Once the required paperwork is completed, an intake assessment will be scheduled.
Complete an Intake Assessment
An intake assessment is a 30-60 minute observation conducted by the Senior Therapist, at the centre. It is our chance to observe the learner and get to know them in a brief observation. We will set up a variety of common group scenarios, like sharing and transitioning between activities. We will also try to observe any relevant skill domains (ex. communication skills, play, independence etc.).
After the intake assessment, we will confirm the learner’s fit in their registered group and confirm their start date. If we have any reservations about the learner joining their registered group, we will try to offer alternative service options when possible.
